Wil-LO-Linn is entirely volunteer run. It takes many, many hours by many, many people to run this 4-day camp each year. In the 30 years camp has been running, there have been many wonderful, dedicated volunteers that have kept us going and thriving. Those who do this behind the scenes work we call our CORE crew.

We are ALWAYS in need of helpers, especially adults to run parts and pieces of camp they are passionate about. If you or a family member is interested in helping at camp, we would love to have you! Financial aid is available for those adults who have trouble with the membership fee, or are joining to help out specifically at camp. The trainings listed below are all online and can be done at your leisure. All told, the trainings take about an hour of watching videos and answering a few questions to cement your knowledge of Girl Scouts. GS sends you the info on how to complete them, it's a piece of cake.
In order to volunteer, all adults must:
Adults who volunteer always get a break on registration fees for their campers, too. We refund you $5 for each day an adult volunteers, or $25 if you can come all 4 days. If you join the CORE team in one of the following open positions, you can also get a Tagalong or Boy bonus unit fee waived as well!
We are in need of the following positions on our CORE team:
CA Coordinator - works with our PAIT trainer(s) to support our CAs earning their PA pins as well as help them problem solve, reach goals, and encourage. Often the first to hear the CAs great ideas! A fun job that works directly with the older Girl Scouts. Most work happens the week of CA refresh training, the few days before camp, and the week of camp. Knowledge of the PAIT and CA program is not necessary, we can fill you in!
Service - Help plan and implement our Service component. This is a new position and we are so excited for someone to take this on and really run with it. Service is such as essential part of Girl Scouts and we want to really make sure we are helping our communities. Most work would be in the weeks before and during camp, designing the service activity with the CAs, getting the resources and contacts to make it happen, and helping run the station at camp, possibly. Whoever takes this on does not necessarily need to be at camp all day every day. They could easily design the project, get the materials ready, and let a few of the CAs run it.
